Foi com muito gosto que hoje, dia 23 de junho de 2025, recebemos no ISTEC Lisboa, o Dr. Ioannis Kazanidis (BSc, MSc, PhD), Assistant Professor, Director of MSc in Immersive Technologies – Innovation in Education, Training and Game Design, Vice Director of the Advanced Educational Technologies and Mobile Applications (AETMA) Lab, Department of Informatics da Democritus University of Thrace, Greece.

Este Job Shadowing (programa Erasmus+) afirma o foco do ISTEC Lisboa em contribuir para o desenvolvimento das tecnologias imersivas na Europa. Iremos, igualmente, aproveitar esta oportunidade para estabelecer uma parceria, entre ambas as instituições, para docentes e estudantes.

O ISTEC Lisboa e o Politécnico de Santarém acolhem de 23 a 27 de junho o BIP – Work Dignity with GenAi 4 students & staff, evento dedicado a capacitar estudantes e staff no domínio da comunicação digital e literacia crítica, promovendo a inclusão digital, a acessibilidade, a inovação e a resolução de problemas, enquanto desenvolve competências futuras e fomenta o trabalho colaborativo através de projetos práticos que impactem positivamente as suas comunidades e contextos profissionais.

Objectives of the project

The primary objective of this project is to design and deliver a specialised Master’s programme (MSc) in Virtual Innovation, five advanced training self-standing modules, and a Summer School in Lisbon under the Virtual Innovation Consortium. Thus, this proposal aligns with the objectives of the DIGITAL-2024-ADVANCED-DIGITAL-07-KEYCAPACITY call by focusing on developing advanced digital skills at ISCED level 7 (Master’s or equivalent level).

The general objectives of the project are the following:

• To increase the number of ICT specialists in Europe: By offering a specialised Master’s programme and advanced training modules in Virtual Innovation, the project aims to produce highly skilled graduates who can contribute to the growing demand for ICT professionals in Europe.

• To enhance the digital skills of the students: The curriculum is designed to cover both foundational and advanced topics in virtual worlds, ensuring that students gain comprehensive knowledge and practical skills in VR/AR technologies.

• To foster industry collaboration: The project involves collaboration with industry partners to provide practical training opportunities, internships, real-world project experiences, and talks from industry specialists during the Summer School.

• To promote inclusivity and diversity: The project includes provisions for scholarships and financial aid to support students from diverse backgrounds, ensuring equal access to advanced digital education.
